Shipping policy
This policy outlines how and when you will receive your order from Schafer Automotive.
1. Delivery Areas & Charges
We currently ship to mainland UK addresses. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on your order value, weight, and delivery location. We offer standard and tracked delivery options. Please note that delivery to remote areas, islands, and some highlands may incur additional charges or longer lead times, which will be shown before you complete your purchase.
2. Delivery Timescales

Standard UK Delivery: 3-5 working days.

Tracked/Express Delivery: 1-2 working days (if available).
All timescales are estimates only and commence from the day we dispatch your order, not from the date of purchase. We process orders Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
3. Order Processing & Dispatch
We aim to dispatch all in-stock items within 1-2 working days of receiving your order. You will receive a dispatch confirmation email with tracking information (where available) once your order leaves our warehouse.
If an item is out of stock or there is a delay, we will contact you via email to advise you of the revised timeline and your options.
4. Receiving Your Delivery

Who to Contact: Once your order is handed to the courier, the delivery is managed by them. Please use the tracking number in your dispatch email to follow your delivery or contact the courier directly with any delivery enquiries.

Failed Deliveries: If you are not available, the courier will usually leave a card and attempt redelivery or make the item available for collection from a local depot. Please follow their instructions. We are not liable for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect address details, missed deliveries, or local collection failures.

Check Your Goods: Please inspect your package upon delivery. If the packaging is visibly damaged, note this with the driver before signing. If the contents are damaged or incorrect, please contact us at sales@schaferautomotive.com within 48 hours with photos and your order number.
5. Important Legal Note: Passing of Risk
In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods are at your risk from the moment you (or a nominee you have authorised) take physical possession of them. This means we are responsible for the goods until they are delivered to your specified address. If a delivery fails or is lost while in the courier’s possession, we are responsible for resolving this with the courier and providing you with a replacement or refund.
6. International Shipping
We do not currently offer shipping outside the United Kingdom.
